For affiliates, your site displays this way.
Below, we've described the sections of the personal account, to detailed instructions on how to work with them.
Description
This is the description shown on the program page. It is one of the criteria the publisher looks at when deciding whether to join the store. It is important to create a captivating description that will spark publishers' interest and encourage them to opt in.
Tips on creating a description
Provide publishers only with the information they will need for their work, avoid extensive descriptions.
The description must always be up-to-date: if you have changed rules or terms of the bonus program, remember to timely inform the manager about these changes for them to introduce changes in the program description and not to misinform publishers.
For the program description, choose the text form over the image. Images take too much time to edit, and they are not indexed by search engines.
Company Name
The name of your Company which will be displayed everywhere: in All Programs, reports, exported files, etc.
Normally, the name of the Company is written in English and matches the name of your website. It is also possible to add a suffix to the name that would indicate the regions in which your program is active or your pricing model: that will make it easier for publishers to select a program suitable for their ad space.
Link to the website
Link to the main page of your website. It is a direct (non-affiliate) link that can be used by publishers to take a look at your website.
Contact information
Provide your contact information so that Affpool employees could quickly contact you when needed. The contact data is not available to publishers.
Social
The publisher would be grateful if you fill in this information to be displayed in the webmaster's catalog. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter
Currency
This is the currency in which payments to the program affiliates are made. It corresponds to a currency of your choice in affiliate agreement.
Deeplink
Deeplink is a tool that allows you to build affiliate links that lead to any pages of an advertiser’s website instead of using standard links. Deeplink reduces the number of actions in the “click - purchase” chain since it leads users straight to the page of the product they need.
Program categories
The Program categories block shows categories that correspond to the area of your activity. Your program will be displayed under these categories in All Programs.
Create a team.Add people to the team who have permission to do what you need them to do.
When setting up an affiliate program, it’s crucial to determine which traffic sources publishers can use to drive users to your website. Your program’s traffic quality and overall performance depend on correctly configuring this section. It’s your mission to select which of them you’re willing to work with.
Display settings on the program page
Show. This option allows you to show or hide traffic sources and permissions settings for publishers on your affiliate program’s page.
Permissions settings for various traffic sources
Allowed. You allow publishers to use this traffic source.
If Forbidden is selected for a traffic source, publishers whose ad spaces belong to this traffic type won’t be able to submit an application for joining the program.
Tips for setting up traffic sources
We recommend not setting traffic source options too strictly if you want to attract a good number of publishers with different types of ad spaces. But you want to be more careful with some traffic sources. Learn more about such traffic sources below.
Toolbar
Toolbar is a traffic source that needs special attention since it may be used for cookie spoofing and generating fake orders.
As a matter of fact, the toolbar itself is not malicious and can only be helpful to your program if used properly. This is why we advise that you don’t forbid it totally but periodically monitor publishers offering this type of traffic, so you track performance and ban violators in a timely fashion.
Incentive traffic
It’s widely believed that incentive traffic delivers no profit since these users are only interested in receiving their bonus for a target action and disappear right after they perform it.
But this is only true for the programs that employ the pay-per-lead model since the advertiser has no direct profit from this type of action.
Don’t be worried about incentive traffic if you use the pay-per-sale model. With this model, it’s not so important that the user is incentivized as it is that they make a purchase and you earn.
Besides, incentive traffic can be good for mobile apps and online games if their top priority is to climb to the top of Google Play or the App Store and to get in front of their target audience.
Brand bidding
Another questionable traffic source is brand bidding.
This traffic type won’t work for you if you publish contextual ads and promote your brand. If you apply brand bidding, publishers’ ads will compete with yours, which will only lead to the growing cost of your contextual ads.
You may also want to forbid brand bidding if you represent a famous brand that invests heavily in SEO. Otherwise, publishers’ ads will likely push you down from the top of the search engine result pages.
Nevertheless, if you’re ready to outsource brand promotion, you may want to allow this traffic source. Affpool publishers will drive your brand to the top of search results, boost awareness, and draw more users.
Pop-up and click-under ads
Advertisers often ban pop-up and click-under ads due to their infamous reputation of being obtrusive, poorly-performing ad instruments.
But it all depends on the skills and fairness of the publishers you cooperate with. And though pop-up and click-under ads can’t really pride themselves on high conversions, they can increase visitation and make your target audience way more aware of your brand and product.
Adult traffic
It’s reasonable to forbid adult traffic (pornographic websites, sex shops, etc.) if you care about your image and meticulously monitor your brand’s mentions in various areas.
Email newsletters
If you’re going to cooperate with publishers who use email newsletters, here’s what you should ask your manager:
Where the publisher sources their user base
Whether the publisher’s users agreed to receive such newsletters
Unwanted newsletters that are recognized as nothing more than spam will negatively affect your brand.
This is why you should also agree on the newsletter templates so you can verify that the information contained in them is up-to-date, credible, and properly designed (e.g., the brand’s colors or logo are used correctly). You can mention this requirement in the program rules.
Changing allowed traffic sources
If you make your allowed traffic source settings stricter, publishers must be notified via email no later than 5 days before the new rules apply.
This lead time is needed for publishers to prepare for the changes (e.g., remove contextual ads if you no longer allow them).
Be sure to inform your account manager beforehand so they can notify publishers in a timely manner.
If you decide to whitelist new traffic sources, you can inform publishers via your manager 1 day before the changes take effect.
The block Program regions specifies the regions of your activity: countries where you have shops, offices, delivery — and from what regions publishers can attract traffic to your program. Regions are displayed on the program page in the Regions section, they help publishers to understand whether their ad spaces suit your program.
If you do not select any of the list, then by default the resolution will be for all countries
The switch on the right is responsible for whether you want partners to connect automatically or not.
The partner automatically resolves the request if the advertiser's traffic source requirements match the advertised partner.
By clicking on the "Innovation offer" button, you can create an offer
On the Type tab, select Public - if you want the confirmation to apply to all or Private - if you want to verify yourself
Offer Number & Commission
Next comes the% of the commission from the sold product or service that the partner will receive, you can make different percentages by clicking on Plus, if on the advertiser's side, a percentage is set for each product
Cookies lifetime
This is the term during which the cookie that was obtained by a user’s browser and linked the user with a certain publisher will be stored on the user’s device. If during the cookie lifetime the user performs an action on the advertiser's website, it will be assigned to this publisher, even if the user closed the browser or turned off the device.
The subsequent actions performed by the user during the cookie lifetime will also be assigned to the publisher unless otherwise agreed in the terms and conditions of the affiliate program.
At the moment the cookie lifetime expires, cookies are automatically deleted by the browser, and after that, the user’s actions will not be bound to the publisher unless the user follows the affiliate link again.
The standard cookie lifetime in Affpool is 45 days, but it can be extended up to 365 days. The longer the cookie lifetime is, the better it is for your publishers.
The cookie lifetime is filled by the account manager after discussing it with you.
Transaction Update Window
Once you’re done with actions and rates, you need to decide on the Transaction Update Window , i.e., how much time you have to process an action (approve or decline it) after it was performed. You can set different hold periods for different actions, but all rates in one action will have the same hold period. The standard hold period is 45 days.
Getting Paid FAQs
Enter Your Payment Account Information
Currently we only support international bank transfers.
Check your reports after a few days have passed:
Transaction information, though tracked immediately by Affpool Affiliate Network technology, may not always be posted in your reports immediately. Affpool must receive confirmation for a transaction from the advertiser before it is posted. Many advertisers will not provide transaction confirmation until the credit card number is authorized or until the product actually ships. Affpool Affiliate Network reports are updated every evening based on the confirmations received. When an advertiser does not send Affpool a confirmation notice for a particular day, transaction information cannot be posted for that day's activity.
Check to see if your sale was non-commissionable:
To do this, view a non-commissionable sales report. This report displays all non-commissionable sales transactions for your account for the period specified. A non-commissionable sale is a transaction that occurs on the advertiser site, but for which commissions are not applicable. A sale may not be applicable for commissions for the following reasons: Certain programs only offer commissions on selected products or actions within the site. For example, many programs that offer gift certificates will not offer commissions on gift certificate sales due to a double discount that may occur. You can view the SKU list of commissionable products for these types of programs. The sale may have occurred outside of the applicable return day period. Affpool Affiliate Network provides an option for programs to specify a return day window. This window allows a program to compensate publishers for sales that may occur beyond the point of first click-through. This window may be set between 0 and 999 days. If return days are set at zero, the advertiser will only compensate at the point of click-through. Any subsequent sale that occurs from a visit directly to the Web site will not be commissionable. Full details of an advertiser's program in which you are participating are available for your review in the Domains > My Advertisers section of your publisher dashboard. Simply select the advertiser and click on the offer name in which you are participating from the Program Details box on the left.
Use the Transaction Inquiry system:
First go to Order Report> Payment Info and click Search in order to ensure that the order has not been processed by our system. If our system still cannot locate your order and at least 7 days have passed since the order was placed, go to Messages > Compose > Admin > Advertiser . The advertiser will be notified of your inquiry. We recommend that all advertisers respond to your inquiry within 30 days. If there is no resolution within this time, please contact the advertiser directly. To view the status of your inquiry, go to Messages

Usage Guides
We encourage using your content in as many ways as possible, in order to give the broadest reach.
Deep links are affiliate links (including your tracking code) that direct your site's visitors to a specific page on an advertiser's site rather than to the advertiser's homepage. They are links that go deeper into a site so you can turn visitors into customers. Generally, these deep links will convert better (sales, for example) because they send the visitor to a page with information specific to what they are seeking to purchase.
NOTE: You must be approved into an advertiser's program and the advertiser must allow deep links for you to create a deep link.
How do I create deep links?
To create a deep link to one or more web pages on an advertiser's site using the publisher dashboard, simply follow the steps below:
In your publisher dashboard, go to Deep Linking. Select an advertiser partner from the drop-down menu and then click Browse Advertiser Site to find the URL. Paste the URL of the product you want to place on your site in the URL field. Please note: the URL field includes http://. After pasting your URL, please check to make sure http:// doesn’t appear twice in your link.deep_linking
Select whether you want a Single link or Multiple links.
Enter a title that you want to associate with the Page, and click "Create Link" to generate a link code that will appear below the "URL" field. Copy and paste the code into your website and you're ready to go! Your links will start going to the right page almost immediately, and your activity will be listed as deep links in the Iframes & Deeplinks report and other reports.
In the Iframes & Deeplinks table you can plan your publications with deep links in social networks.
